Liberation — A Fundraising Cabaret by Vibrations Collective

Liberation is a cabaret that invites artists to explore their understanding of freedom through drag and burlesque performances. Liberation celebrates the broad and varied struggles against systems of oppression: queer liberation, decolonization, anti-racism, anti-capitalism, feminism, class struggle and prison abolition. The possibilities are endless at this politically engaged event. Artists and audience members will be invited to reflect on several questions: What does freedom mean for oneself and for others? Can anyone be free while others are not? Are our freedoms permanent? Which freedoms must we continue to fight for?

Through this cabaret, Vibrations Collective seeks to cultivate solidarity beyond identity-based boundaries and embrace a collective understanding of liberation by highlighting the deep interconnectedness of our struggles.

Vibrations is a collective of queer artists whose mission is to provide a platform for emerging and marginalized performance artists.
