Come learn more about Montreal’s queer history by exploring important historical sites on a guided walking tour led by McGill queer studies course lecturer Steven Greenwood! We will focus particularly on areas that were important before the development of the modern-day Village, beginning in the heart of the former “Peel Street Village” and moving toward the city’s historic red-light district. We will stop at several important landmarks and learn about the stories, events, and people that made these spaces significant to the city’s queer communities and cultures.
