Reduced Mobility Accessibility
Support bars are installed on both sides of the front stairs to make it easier to climb the two steps leading into the bookstore. A small step is also placed outside every day (except when there is snow) to make it easier to access the first step, which is slightly high. At any time, feel free to ask for a chair to rest your legs while you browse.
We also have a closet available where you can leave your coats and bags if you plan to stay for a while.
During the winter, we do our best to clear and salt the entrances, but please note that the sidewalk may still be slippery at times.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Unfortunately, the bookstore is not wheelchair accessible. It is not possible to install a ramp at the front of the bookstore due to the steep incline of the steps and the width of the sidewalk. As for the back entrance (where we have a ramp at the rear door), we are awaiting renovations to ensure that the ground surface is level and safe. We will inform the community as soon as these improvements have been completed.

Anton May is a British born; multidisciplinary artist based in Tiohtiá:ke (colonially known as Montreal). They are an honours graduate from Dawson College’s Professional Theatre Program and alumnae/Mentor of BTW Artist Mentorship Program. He has had the privilege to perform across Canada as well as in New York as a singer and actor. Most recently, their play A Boy’s Love: A Journey of Healing through Poetry and Dance was presented through Queer Reading Series (2025). He had his directorial debut at this years Montreal Fringe Festival with Painting Moments- A Portrait of an Artist as a young Gay Man.
