Clothing swap
The CSL space is located on the third floor of a building with elevator access. The entrance door and the door leading to the elevator are not automatic.
If you need assistance opening the doors, please call us at 514-526-2452, and we’ll come down to let you in.
• Stim toys (fidget toys) are available for everyone to use.
• Noise-reducing headphones are also available.
• The overhead lighting has recently been replaced with warmer, dimmer lighting.
• We ask everyone to be mindful of things that may create sensory overstimulation (e.g., fragrances).
• The elevator is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair or some mobility aids, but space is limited and access may be difficult with certain three- or four-wheeled mobility scooters. The space is accessible to mobility devices.
• Animals are not permitted in the building, except for service animals.
• The washrooms are located on the same floor as our space (3rd floor). The first washroom is wheelchair accessible. However, access may be difficult with mobility devices such as three- or four-wheeled mobility scooters. Please note that the doors are not automatic. The CSL team is available to assist as needed.
• To ensure everyone’s comfort, the CSL washrooms are gender-neutral. We recognize that the washrooms were not originally designed to be gender-neutral and that the adaptations are not perfect. Please use the one where you feel most comfortable, and reach out to a member of the team if needed.
• If you would like to have privacy while using the washroom, you can request the accompaniment of a CSL staff member or volunteer to the washroom door. This person can wait outside and ensure that no one else enters until you have finished and exited.
• The number of participants at our activities varies greatly. We are therefore unable to predict the noise level.
• We try to include an overview of the atmosphere in the event descriptions whenever possible.
• On-site, we have a private individual support room where you can take a break and reduce sensory overstimulation.

COVID
As marginalized communities, we have a responsibility to care for one another, including people who are immunosuppressed or immunocompromised.
• Masks are available at the entrance.
• If you test positive for COVID-19: please stay home.
• Please also stay home if you have ONE of the following symptoms: sore throat, fever, OR TWO of the following symptoms: runny nose or nasal congestion of unknown cause, headache, extreme fatigue.
• If you have symptoms, even if you do not test positive for COVID-19, we encourage you to stay home. If you feel that prioritizing your mental health is important, you are welcome to wear a mask.
The CSL is organizing a clothing swap to raise funds their refugees and asylum seekersmembers. The event will take place at the CSL’s offices, whereparticipants can also unwind, enjoy some iced tea and chat in aair-conditioned space. We invite participants to bring up to one bag ofclothing in good condition. Plus-size clothing will be available.Clothing not exchanged will be donated to shelters. Donations will beused to support our services for refugees and asylum seekers, includingproviding them with hygiene products, grocery gift cards, or publictransit passes. We would like to emphasize that, in the current contextof Bill C-12, refugees and asylum seekers are particularly vulnerable,their needs are urgent and there is a lack of services for them
Wheelchair accessibility: Please note that the building doors are not automatic. Anyone who needs the door opened can call us and we will come downstairs. The venue is also accessible by elevator.
